Can Ibuprophen (Motrin) cuase a pregnancy test to come back negative when the person is pregnant?

interested theory never heard of it I'd like to know though i just researched alittle and no it cant alter your test however it is a high risk of early miscarriage like 80% wow i didn't even know and i take it daily for back pain and I've been trying to conceive so if you can stay off it if your ttc good luck

No. Wait until 5 weeks after your last period to take a pregnancy test. Most negatives are not "false"....the test just can't read your amount of hormone yet (it takes a few weeks for the level to get up high enough to be read)....

Stop worrying and relax. Even if you are pregnant, that can change too.....things are not certain until you have passed the 14 week mark.

Sometimes I start thinking of things to that could cause a negative when I want a positive.
Go to the dollar store and buy some cheap tests and take them in a couple days or a week or so.

I don't think that particular medicine would alter the results of a pregnancy test but you could always ask your doctor.

medicine has no affect on the results of pregnancy tests. its the hormones in your body.

i have never heard of that. i take ibuprofin and it has never had any affect on my pregnancy tests. when i was pregnant, they were always positive and i have been taking ibuprofin for years.
