The most common place is large refrigerated warehouses that ship frozen materials - it is put in packaging and in older trucks (without refrigerator units) to keep stuff frozen. If you lack these in your area, ask at hospitals where they get dry ice they use for shipping frozen tissue samples for analysis. Some places have compressed gas suppliers - like welding gases - that make and sell dry ice - this is not a welding shop, but a place that actually separates out the components of air, etc.

actually, what grocery stores do you have by you? I live by Safeways and they carry dry ice at least the one i live by, or try a party place where they sell party supplies.

Most colleges and schools carry some. Otherwise, try ebay or amazon. It's not exactly something you find in WalMart.

We have warehouses around here that sell it. Just try your phonebook or google it. Shouldnt be much of a challenge to find.
