I would buy IF: 1) you were referred to me from a friend or I knew you. I don't want food from some strange lady (no offense) who comes wandering into my place of work. 2) you offered me something unique-I can pack a sandwich, chips, an apple, a cookie, and a water for under $4, so it better be something better. I like the idea. You must live in a city setting? I know few people who have cafeterias at their work, most people I see brown bag, skip, or get fast food/subs for lunch.

If it is tasty and nutritious, I'm sure most people would buy. I think you should check out the legal aspect in your area. Most times people owning a restaurant can do it, but an individual doing so may have problems if it is illegal, either from disgruntled patrons, or the cafeteria if they report it. I think the way things are today, you could be taking a chance. janeyw

Sounds great...even for a little more $. But , it is a big job, getting it delivered still warm and in the time frame of lunch in different locations.
Also, how do the people know if your kitchen and hands are clean?
You would need people to help and containers and to be approved by the health dept. Good Luck .... we all want more home cooking!!

Yes I would. At $4 bucks would you be making a profit after buying the food? It seems like a really good idea. Good luck

You bet. Especially if you're cute and available. Seriously, that's a very good idea. I worked in a factory and we could only get pizza ordered in. Otherwise nasty cafeteria food, or brown bag it. Yuck!

I'd at least buy it once and if it was good, I'd probably buy them from you all of the time. I think it's a good idea, there is a place like that in my hometown and they make really good money and they charge a whole lot more than $4.00!!!

Not a bad idea....but 4.00 is not a lot of money... how much would be left over after gas for the car, insurance for the car, advertising & all the licenses?

all the people i work with would buy from you. if you only have 30 minutes to eat, you don't have time to leave work or make something good so everyone has to eat tv dinners or sandwiches.

it's a fantastic idea!
but, at $4.00 a pop, how would you ever turn a profit?
if you can get those numbers to jibe, then heck yes, it's a wonderful idea!
