I knew some people that had the same problem and they took a baby wipe and put it over and then put the diaper on and that seemed to help.

Wow, that's a new one! My son is 11 months old, and this is the first I heard about pointing his little peepee in a certain direction. I hadly even pay attention to it. I just wrap the diaper around.
The only suggestions I can think of are obvious ones:
Try changing the brand- like other's have said, those no-name brands are great, and we generally use those or huggies supreme. I've found Pampers to be the biggest leakers.
Make sure the diaper fits right- if it's too loose, he'll pee all over, but it it's too tight, the same thing will happen. Don't just go by the weights listed on the outside, we stopped using size 2 when my son was 13 pounds because he was soaked every morning. Even though size 3's are supposed to start at 16 pounds, they fit hit great.
Change his diaper more often- Some babies just go to the bathroom more than others. I usually only change my son's diaper every two hours, or when he poops or gets up from a nap. Sometimes, it's barely even damp, sometimes it's sopping.
Make sure to change it right before he goes to bed or down for a nap- That way, it's a fresh start.
Those are the only things I can really think of. I don't think pointing it down will really make a difference. My son's diapers are always the wettest right there in front, and my niece's are usually soaked further down. It's just an anatomical difference, and I don't think you can help it.
Good luck!

I have a lot of experience with infants as a foster mom. One thought I have is could his penis be bigger than it looks? Some babies I have cared for have appeared to have very small penises when in fact a layer of fat covered the base of it. You can easily find out by gently pressing on the skin on both sides near the base of his penis. Sometimes it will pop out more and then you can point it downwards. If this is not the case, another thing you could do is purchase a diaper liner. They make these for babies who soak through their diapers at night. You could put this in the diaper more in the front, and it will absorb the urine before it has a chance to leak out of the diaper. Good luck. I hope this helps. If not, just remember that babies grow quickly. Before you know it you won't have this problem anymore!

Honestly, I never really pay attention to boy's parts when I change a diaper. I can't imagine pushing down a morning peepee just to keep him dry. Ouch!!
Seriously, though, I do have a couple of suggestions. Make sure you have the right size of diaper. The tabs should lean in above his hipbones. If you keep the tabs tight enough, there won't be open space for leakage. When you put it on, there should be enough room for your finger to slide in between the diaper and his belly, just like a dog's collar. You can also fold the top of the diaper down about an inch, towards his belly. This fold will also block leakage. Lastly, you can use a snug onesie to make sure the diaper stays against his belly. I hope this helps...Blessings

My sons penis WAS big enough to point down when changing his diaper and urine STILL managed to leak on his clothes. I think it's just all part of infancy!
Good Luck!
PS - I even tried changing the brand of diapers and that didn't help either.

I had the same problem as well. As he got older, I noticed that it stopped leaking. You could try pulling the front end up the diaper up a little higher to make sure the liquid will be absorbed, or making the diaper a little tighter? Good luck!

Don't force it to go where it isn't meant to. Just keep it as tucked to the side if possible and roll the top of the diaper inward like a pocket to help catch the upward squirts.
Also, I personally found that the cheapest no-name diapers worked best for those wild leaks.

I had the same problem with my little boy, then someone told us to buy the cheapest diapers at Jewel Osco , they have their own brand , they are called Baby Basics and our days of leaks were gone .I found huggies to be the worst leakers.
