I do, because one day I want to be able to sit my grandchildren down and watch reality television on VCR. Both of which I hope by then will be rare relics. I think DVR and TiVo will be here for a while, but the VCR much like the cassette is on its way out and I don't want my grand children to only know and see what was once considered technology by going to a museum.

The amount of VCR users in the world is estimated to be 34,429,411 people with a further 390,226 people using those dual players with both a VCR and a DVD player.

How do I know this..? I just asked for a quick show of hands.

I use a vcr to tape shows, but I don't rent tapes. I use a dvd player for movies. My co-worker doesn't have a vcr, she just downloads the shows she misses off the internet.

I do... started using it again after trying to switch over to DVR and I'd miss shows due to disc errors.

Stuff I just want to watch when I'm not going to be home I'll use the VCR for, or for when a new series starts that I think might be cancelled (and thus not make it to dvd). But mostly for tv shows I just watch them without taping them and wait for the dvd sets.

I use a VCR to watch movies that I don't have the DVD to like Matilda or something of that matter. I mainly use a DVD player to play Cd's and since i have a DVR i just watch movies from there.

Quite a few. I use a DVD/VCR.

At radio shack, we still sell VHS rewinders on a regular basis.
