I have played and won Final fantasy ix quite a few hundred times, probably one of my all time favorates, however, in the end I alwayd get then just hugging, but I think I once saw a image on the internet on the kissing, and this wasn't fanart either, this was actual images by Squaresoft, yeah it was maybe 4 or 5 years ago but that was no fanart. Yeah its no big deal, but is it true?

no, there are no alternate endings. the images you saw were more than likely made for commercial advertisment, as a tease
or it really could have been fan-art, some people out there are more than capable of mimicking art, and many people can also draw images that some would think are more beautiful
