Im deathly afraid of downloading ANYTHING for fear of slowing down or messing up my computer. Please reassure me or confirm my fears.

Click on my computer and find out how much memory your computer has.If it 256 to 512 and depending on how many programs you have running.You may have to up grade to 1gig.and i guarantee you it will take off.There is a program called boost xp by allume systems you can by it about 40 dollars.

The slowdown is as good as your system resources. The more memory you have and if you have a dual core processor, you will have a less of a slow down. If you only have a 3Ghz single core processor and 512MB RAM, you are going to notice a slow down when burning your CD's.
