I've heard this is true, but WHY doesn't it echo?

BECAUSE THE QUACK ISSUES 2 SOUNDS SIMULTANEOUSLY ONE COUNTERMANDING THE OTHER IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE AN ECHO.... BUT THRU HIGHER MAGNIFICATION IT WILL ECHO BUT SOUNDING IMPERFECT TO THE HUMAN EAR.....

A silly old urban legend. A duck's quack echoes just like any other sound.

The trick is getting a duck to quack inside a cathedral or concert hall where you can hear the echo.
