I share a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 other girls & recently one of them just had a baby... Now, we're all college students so my other roommate & think it's not the best idea to have her stay with us. We don't want to sound selfish, but we didn't pay all this money for college & an apartment just to take care of a baby... How should we confront her? What should we say?

First and foremost, a 1 bedroom apartment for 3, well 4, people is really overcrowded. Just tell her that you and your other roommate think she should be on her own to raise her baby because not only do you guys need the room, she needs more room too. Don't sound selfish or mean or anything because I know you don't want to and it would seem pretty bad to find out that you and your roommate put a mother and her baby out on the streets....so avoid that as much as possible. But tell her that you aren't throwing her out and in fact, help her find a place to stay because that would ease the anger she may or may not have toward you guys. Just be considerate and be an adult about it and hopefully she will comply. Good luck to all of you!!

If she is on the lease it won't be very easy to kick her out because legally she has rights. I also think that she does need to take into consideration you and your other roomie and the simple space factor.
The mature thing to do would be to confront her in a friendly manner. Ask her how she feels about sharing a one bedroom now that there is a little one in the picture. Tell her you feel crowded and the baby makes it hard to study (if thats the case). Does she really plan to stay in school now that she's a mom?

Wow, that's hard. Can your roomate move back home with her baby? Just make sure she has a place to go to before you confront her. Try to empathize with her. It's not easy being a single mom.

Just sit her down and explain that it wouldn't be fair to her, the baby and you and your roomates. You feel it's in everyone's best interest that she move.

Good luck.

Just be real, and say it. You shouldnt have to deal with a baby, You will be up at all times of the night to its crying, and there will be the times that you get asked to watch it for just a few minutes, which turns into hours.

No way do you need this. Be real, be firm, be kind, but get your way.

I lived in student housing purely like that. have confidence me, the policies are written to prefer the owner. attempting to get the jerk kicked out will probable get you no longer something in view that he relatively hasn't broken the regulation or violated his settlement. All i will advise is to discover a diverse place next semester. Sorry.

just tell what you want her to know just like that you don't want anymore to pay the bills and take good care her baby................just tell it in a good way, in the right time (when she is in good mood) and in the right place , of course so that she woyld understand you, but I think you should understand her too because she have a baby....................
