As a woman, anyone showing up on my doorstep in the middle of the night is cause for caution in my book. I don't care what the people look like - if there are a group of people on my doorstep, I am going to question it. If I can't see the wreck from where I am, I'm not opening that door all the way. I will happily call someone to help, and do what I can, but I will also do all that I can to keep myself and my family safe.

I don't think this is really a matter of what the people on the other side of the door look like, but more a matter of common sense.

That's a toughie. I'm black and if a group of thugs came knocking on my door I wouldn't help because I would be afraid also. I don't think I would even open my door. Now are they really "thugs" or is this an exaggeration? Not all young black people are thugs. If they didnt appear to be harmless I would help.

Umm,I think you mean Caucasian. I'm a black woman so my best advice is to tell the teens that you will call the ambulance If their friend is hurt.(It doesn't really matter what the people's race are,I would not go out alone with anybody.)Maybe give them some blankets and tell them the ambulance is coming.

whether your a guy or girl I agree with chownrot, I would be glad to call help but I would hesitate to give further assistance unless I could see that there was a genuine emergency, regardless of race or social status. Calle me paranoid but there's not that much I could do to help their friend that they couldn't anyway.

Don't leave home with strangers. How about, my dad's a cop, I'll get him to help you. Or, call 911 for them because you can't leave home because you're in poker game with a bunch of guys.
