He has internet and he never signed up for it. He just bought a lap top at 500 dollars and he is getting internet working without eveen ever signing up to anything. Why does he have internet. He didn't touch anything. it just has internet

His computer has a wifi card which picks up wireless internet. His neighbor probably has a wireless router and that is what the laptop is picking up.
Please advice though that this is illegal and it is still illeagl after he gets permission from his neighbor because the inter provider is losing money that way. There is not a really high risk of getting caught unless the neighbor complains but it can happen and the fines can be pretty expensive. If he already has internet, he can just get his own wireless router, they are not expensive and then it will be legal.

He's picking up internet from one of his neighbors wireless routers. This is illegal and people have been given big fines for it, so he should ask around and find out whose router he's connecting to and get their permission.

his neighbor probably has a wireless modem which works like wi fi if he has an internet card in his lap top it will work off of the signals from his neighbors modem. lucky him!!
