SETTING UP:
Before anything, download the stuff onto your computer first (emule or watever). If you meant to download stuff directly from the psp browser, that would be extremely difficult to explain because you will have to have homebrew stuff beforehand. But for now, just have the files on your computer first.
Connect the psp to computer using usb, and then on the psp go to Settings>USB Connection. The computer should be able to recognize the psp as a removable drive.
Next, go in the removable drive and make folders "MUSIC", "VIDEO", "PICTURE" (it doesn't matter whether they are inside or outside of the "PSP" folder).
MUSIC:
Have your files in playable format by the psp, which depends on which firmware your psp runs on. This you can refer to your manual. Drag the files into the MUSIC folder and they should show up when you go to MUSIC on your psp.
VIDEO:
Have all your videos converted into mpeg4, which can be done by downloading a converter (if you need one, i put a link in the sources area). Once again, you can drag the files into the VIDEO folder and it should work.
PICTURES:
The psp supports a lot of picture formats, so shouldn't be neccesary to convert (you could always use mspaint if you want to though). However, converting them into jpeg will save space.
As a side note, if you want to group your music, videos, or pictures, you can make subfolders in the MUSIC, VIDEO, or PICTURE folder with whatever name you want. But folders within the subfolders cannot be read by the psp.
Have fun =]

Music:
Plug the psp into your PC using a usb cable. Then On your pc open MY Computer. Go to the psp drive (F: or whatever your computer calls it) ------Open psp file then open Music. Copy the music from your pc and paste them into this file. -----Music supported are MP3 or .wma (.wma only can be used if you have received an update and activated it on line from sony. Use your wifi to get update. Note: PSP must be fully charged before getting updates.)
Photos
Plug the psp into your PC using a usb cable. Then On your pc open MY Computer. Go to the psp drive (F: or whatever your computer calls it) Open psp then open photos. Copy the photos from your pc and paste them into this file.
Movies -
from pc to psp the file you will move movies to is the psp video file.
Playstation Portable needs MP4 format not ".mpeg". In order to play it on your PSP. Right click the file and go to properties and change the name to MAQ***** (asterisks are actually numbers from 0-9. You can choose the numbers you want… example MAQ00001, MAQ00002, MAQ23456!) Save in the mp_root folder under 101ANV01.
There are psp conversation softwares that will allow you to copy dvd's to the psp. The dvd's must not be copy protected. If they are you must download additional software from internet sites like boooya.com

If you want to save music, then go to a site to download music and click on the song. The song will download and it will go straight to the music section. For pictures it's the same, just put the psp cursor over the image you want to highlight it then in the toolbar select save image. Same with movies.

god you relatively choose a psp huh? properly i might advise you to: a million) beg your mothers and dads 2) get good grades ( my mothers and dads offered me psp reason I have been given no 60% in checklist card hehe I normally fail ) 3) do newspaper transport and sustain funds to purchase psp yet do no longer scouse borrow or deliver a hundred money expenses because of the fact it may well be relatively unusual for ll year previous boy carrying all that funds. good success oh one greater factor , psp is relatively cool to have notwithstanding it dones't properly worth you to get in to detention center .
