When you hit print, go to properties before hitting ok & printing, and there should be a button that says 'print in black and white ink' somewhere.

Select print from the file drop down tool bar menu then choose the preferences button, there might be a tab for paper/quality. Within this tab you can select gray scale or black and white.

Go file, print... there should be a properties/preferences button, click that... and you should get a printer settings submenu... somewhere in there there should be a "print in greyscale" option. That's the one you want to use.
