Hot flashes are quite normal for the menopausal woman. There are 3 schools of thought on stopping them. One is to ride it out and live with it. Second would be as noted below, the natural health food supplements. Lastly the HRT drugs as they are called - hormome replacement therapy.

The hot flashes, the sweats, feeling as if your body temperature has gone up abot 20 degrees in a matter of seconds .. yep, all part of mother nature's way of "exorcising" those hormones right out of 'ya leaving one drained, soaked and exhausted.

I just ride it out. They usually only last about 30-40 minutes. Its the night sweats that get me!

Sometimes if I get really uncomfortable though, I'll take a cool cloth and wipe my throat and the back of my neck.
