Less a pet question, more of an opinion needed:

2yrs ago we were given a kitten, and told it was a Russian Blue. I took the easy-lame road and named her Natasha/Tasha. She is a GREAT cat and a super family member! However, we just discovered she is actually a British Blue or British BullDog cat!

1-Should we rename her something more British or even Latin as her lineage has Roman ties?

2-Name suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

You can *try* to rename her if you want. She won't listen. They don't. She probably doesn't care what you call her...as long as food's involved, or if she's a lovey, then food or petting. I'd have been calling her bloo-baby by now anyway or something equally senseless. I never call anyone I love by the name they're given...unless it really bothers them. My Baby's name was Sherman originally (he's a little tank) but he's officially Baby now, because I couldn't remember to call him anything else. Now I call him booger. Go figure. Captain Worf is usually called woof.... They don't care. The cat food's regular, the box is clean, and they get to sit in the recliners.

she's had the name for two years now. don't confuse the poor kitty cat!! just leave it the way it is. i'm sure your kitty doesn't care what her lineage is.

for both questions
