The printing press made books availabe to all classes. This increased litteracy morphed into other print media. Mass printing and the mass media has had the most influence on how we think and communicate.

The person who invented computers, because he (or she) totally changed our lives. Our lives are so much different today than 20 years ago because of computers. I can't even fathom life without them!
