i have no sound on my notebook as i asked before but no good response. theres no audio device but it says everythings working properly and in device manager and theres the exclamation point next to the pci device. its only been a month since ive got this labtop and i don't have the cd to install the device its a dell inspiron e1505. can anyone care to help how i can reinstall the pci device or bring my sound back..=[ ive tried driverguide but they didn't seem much of a help at all .. i can't listen to music watch videos and multimedia...=[

First, make sure that you didn't accidentally turn the volume knob on the front of the laptop all the way down.
Secondly, you can go here:

and download and reinstall the Sigmatel driver.

It's ONLY been a month and you already lost the driver disks?
And why can't you call Dell for support? Did you check their support website for the drivers?
