No I don't think so. Don't ever deny yourself the joy of having children just because others may think you are too old, who cares about what those people think anyway.

I am going to be brutally honest with you and tell you that yes, it's too old. Think about it. When your child turns 18, you'll be 64 years old! When you're child is 30, you'll be a few years shy of turning 80! You'll miss out on so much, and it's pretty selfish to sentence a child to a life like that. Plus, it takes a lot of energy to be a parent. There are so many places to go and things to do. As they get older, it only get busier! I'm in my thirties. We decided to have children at a young age so we could enjoy them, and still enjoy life when they are old enough to leave the nest. I'm in my thirties and my 10 & 11 year old kids are exhausting. I couldn't imagine being close to 60 years of age with kids this age. So, you asked...I answered. You may not want to read it, but I think it's ultimately selfish.

NO! If it's what you want then go for it! So people do change there mind later on in life and then they think it's too late...when in fact it's not! If your ready to have a baby now, then go for it...BEFORE you do tho, I would talk to your doctor about it and all the risk factors at your age....becuz the older you are, the more complications that "may" accure....but just talk to your doctor about it! They's be able to give you a better answer then anyone here! Good Luck

There are higher risks during pregnancy . You have to ask yourself too if you will be able to cope with raising a child up through the teen years. AWhen your child is 16,you will be about 62. I have 2 brothers that are 15 and 17 years younger than I am and when my brothers became teenagers,my parents werent as able to cope with it as they were when I was a teen. I never seemed to get away with anything and with my brothers,I could definitely see a slip in discipline. One of my brothers has turned out fairly bad and I think it is because my parents were too old to cope with it really.

No! I had twins at 43. You may need some help from a reproductive endocrinologist, though. Naturally it is more rare- but certianly not unheard of! Good Luck.

In my opinion yes but it is up to the individual-just be aware of all the health risks involved. I would most definitely talk to your doctor before becoming pregnant.

Not too old, just high risk, talk to your OB/GYN. There have been great advancements in medicine dealing with older mothers.

It will be difficult. I know a woman who's 43 and has been trying (unsuccessfully) for 2 years.
