Yes. I witnessed this first hand. An old lady in the grocery store barged in front of me at the register line. I POLITELY reminded her that I did actually exist, and, well, I won't speak of the language here, but this little old rat told me my youth made me too stupid to see where my place in the line was. Oh, I knew my place, alright. I knew she had just come all the way across the store to get to the line. And another incident involved a store clerk who was asking to get by another old woman. The old woman refused to move, and the store clerk shrugged and started walking away. It would've ended there, but then the old woman actually kicked the store clerk in the back of the legs!!! The police were called, and a whole ton of people just left the store over this one little incident.
Dumb thing to get worked up about, but hey, regardless of how old and wise you may think you are, seniors, you're not rulers of the world.

If anything, everyone else is rude and inconsiderate of them. Your question is a good example.
