I work in the hospitality industry and the amount of guys that either have no idea what types of food they like or just sit there and bark "beer" as though it's the only word they know totally astounds me! So I would like to know why this is? I'm a guy and I can read a menu, tie my own shoe laces, pay my own rent and speak 2 languages. So, someone please tell me why most guys are totally useless.

unfortunately for the last 15 years or so, it has been a cultural trend to purposely NOT try to better yourself. its one thing to celebrate being a normal person, its another thing entirely to go out of your way to be a neanderthal, which is what many ppl out there do.
i'm a hardworking blue collar guy, but that doesn't mean that i walk around all day using improper grammar and trying to show the world how much of a useless lump i could be if i put my mind to it.
some ppl just don't care to attempt being more than the lowest common denominator.
