Under Islamic law, as a grateful payment for being allowed to live and be "protected," a Jewish or Christian dhimmi paid a special head tax and a special property tax, the edict for which came directly from the Koran: "Fight against those [Jews and Christians] who believe not in Allah ... until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low."
Omar, the caliph who succeeded Mohammed, delineated in his Charter of Omar the twelve laws under which a dhimmi, or non-Muslim, was allowed to exist as a "nonbeliever" among "believers." The Charter codified the conditions of life for Jews under Islam -- a life which was forfeited if the dhimmi broke this law. Among the restrictions of the Charter: Jews were forbidden to touch the Koran; forced to wear a distinctive (sometimes dark blue or black) habit with sash; compelled to wear a yellow piece of cloth as a badge (blue for Christians); not allowed to perform their religious practices in public; not allowed to own a horse, because horses were deemed noble; not permitted to drink wine in public; and required to bury their dead without letting their grief be heard by the Muslims.

Yes it is a possibility. There is our problem, now what? There is not a way to tell the good from the bad, should we just stop immigration? It is arguable that we as a nation do not need more immigrants and that if we did the need is outwayed by the risk. Do we then put a halt to all visitors to the U.S. ? Just because someone does not look Muslim, or middle eastern does not mean that they are not both, and a terrorist. I do see your point, and the facts are that this country is going to have to start worrying less, a LOT less about appearing politically correct, and a lot more about being secure to the extent it can be from outside forces and still prosper in the modern world. We perhaps need to take a lesson from Israel, apparently most of the rest of the world hates her, yet she maintains her stance and continues to deal with other countries. I believe that we have caved in on issues like sovereignty and nationalism in the name of the big lie we call world trade or global family. I don't know if many have noticed but this whole idea seems to be for the most part one sided. The U.S. gives everyone what they want and in return we not only get ****, we get **** on. One last thing, the absence of war is not peace, it is slavery.

I think that is an extremely spirious statement fuelled by fear. Of course there will be those who wish to impose their religion upoin others. However, this is not just left to Muslims, Christians are just one example of another religion who tend to do the same thing. I think your fear is irrational and based on false information. The situation relating to terrorism and in particular 9/11 does involve Islam but it does so in a much more complex way then u clearly think. I do not believe islam is the cause of terrorism, it is just something that happens to fuel it for some more extremist individuals just as Chrisianity has and continues to fuel the evil actions of more extremists Christians.
By focusing on religion you are missing the many complexities of this situation and thereby missing the point. If the powerbase was located in the middle east and were imposing upon the powerless west then I am sure that we would have some extremist christians fighting against the apparent imposition in the name of God and being labelled by the middle east as terrorists.
So, to summarise, no I do not believe Muslims in your country will create the downfall of the US. If anything does that it will be your own government and people- your the goddamn superpower of the world for god sake! So don't fear, grab yourself a hot chocolate, get a nice hot waterbottle and get some sleep....you really are as safe as anyone can be in this world right now. And as for those taxi drivers, its probably just a cultural clash or in your case they're very adapt at seeing right through you....aka chill out and stop soaking up this seperatist propoganda!

The US has come close to very serious problems several times because of people like you. One of the darkest, most shameful periods in our history was McCarthyism in th 50's.
You have bought into the lies and nonsense the Republicans have very carefully disseminated throughout the country.
That Muslim senator is a congressman, and there is no way he does not value American law above all. The cabdrivers want to keep drunks out of their cabs because they don't condone the use of alcohol. The city council will probably rule against them
Why are you so scared? You remind me of those idiots in the 50's that thought there were commies under the bed.

.Islam was founded by Muhammad who is an interesting character. He started his career by robbing caravans. He was a thief turned prophet. He was a charismatic leader who was able to unite the religions in the area into one religion through his creation of the Quaran that borrowed bits and pieces from other scriptures such as the Bible's old and new testaments. For example, Jesus is cited in the Quaran as just a prophet as well as the Apostles being referenced. Muhammad gained power by conquering his neighbors and subjugating them to Islam. His teachings are to subjugate those of non-Islamic faith "Infidels" by converting them to Islam or pay a retribution and be under the rule of Islam if not converted. These Islam rules apply to Muslims today and there is a sizable minority of several million who subscribe to the bloody, aggressive religious theology of subjugation. All of the major wars today are with Islamic groups. Islam is the largest enemy that the west faces today and you can be assured that more battles will be fought by the US and west against radical Islam.

If that's what you have heard from some non secular human beings, you ought to re-think of the full thought. i wish i'm going that can assist you you to realize this. WE (meaning us human beings) have been created in God's "image". it is not a actual image with tips from any skill. it is in a spiritual sense of each and every human beings with the flexibility to particular Godly traits. in case you verify out a million Cor. thirteen:a million-9 you will see what "Godly Love" is all approximately. Even now we are very a approaches from "Perfection" and yet we are in a position to exhibit a definite quantity of that "Agape Love". added, any "downfall" that happened,: the Almighty God (nor his Son) shouldn't in any respect be blamed in view that they had certainly no longer something to do with it! whilst sin entered into the image, the author had to "re-adjust" concerns so as that his unique purpose might ensue. That being, having the finished Earth a Paradise; a suitable image of Perfection. in case you realize the account, Eve tried responsible Adam and that they the two blamed the serpent. The "devil" made himself "a insurrection" whilst he entertained the belief of being worshiped and plotted his plan out! He relatively became wicked at that component, become independent from something that the Almighty Jehovah did or did no longer do. with regard to the Blaming game: isn't that how persons are actually? nonetheless pointing the finger at somebody else and not taking any accountability for their very own movements. i wish that "Metaphysically & Spiritually" I surely have brightened up your day. essentially, ~Zeb

I believe that muslim americans have a lot to offer America. Muslim Americans aren't the same brand of sheep that pervade the Middle East. Muslim Americans are more moderate and level-headed, and I doubt they will subvert the very same freedoms they came here to attain and replace it with the very same restrictions they desperately wanted to escape.

Thank you! The town next to me is now 18% Muslim.
It's weird - no one says anything, yet they worry about the
Mexicans.
I don't feel the Mexicans are trying to take over, but if you ever
saw the money Muslims are sending back home to Iraq,
Iran, & Pakistan, it would blow your mind. (Western Union)
We now have apartment complexes & factories that are
99% Muslim. No one seems to question why this has
suddenly happened over the last 3 yrs.
I have seen the arrogant attitude you speak of.
Thank you for having the courage to bring up this issue.
This situation definetly needs to be paid attention to.

So there are these cab drivers out there, and they only pick up Muslim fares? Do you REALLY believe that ? It's paranoia like this that puts the lives of good Muslim people in the US at jeopardy.
