wil testes covered?

You will be asked to remove your pants, belt etc. You will be able to keep your underwear on and may be asked to put on a gown. You will be asked to lay down on the xray table and the technologist will take usually 2-4 xrays of your hip and pelvis. Your testes will probably not be shielded because the shield would cover part of the anatomy of interest.

They might or might not be covered depending on what the radiologist wants. By all means ask for protection. I had this and my ovaries were not protected
