I have to go with college football.

The history and passion that's in the game is so much more entertaining than in the pros. The games themselves are more exciting and the rivalries are just amazing to see. I'm a Michigan fan and watching them play Ohio State is just insane with all the history, trash talking, and actual game play is phenomenal. Crowds are crazier, traditions are better, and the actual game is just more lively. I've seen crazy things happen in college ball (easiest being the Cal and Stanford game) that I would never see in the pro's. Plus, I love seeing the mismatching of players abilities. In the pro's everyone is already the best at what they do. Some are a little bit better than others, but there isn't a gigantic talent difference in every game. I like to see the very little guy like UCLA take out the powerhouse of USC or watch as a team with the caliber of Florida narrowly escapes rival Florida State. College is exciting and entertaining. Rules are less strict, replay system is better, and the overtime is just plain out fun to watch.

If you want to see a team put up 103 (Wyoming in 1949) points in a game, then watch college football.
If you want to see a team put up 63 points and lose (Rice vs San Jose St, 2004) then watch college football.
If you want to see rivals, history, tradition, and the best football games in the country, then watch college football.

Pro. It may be picky but it kind of bugs be me when the college guys make dumb mistakes. As opposed to the pros where despite what people think, they don't play just for the money (and it's a stupid reason for not liking the pros because most college players aspire to play pro --and they don't magically become jerks --jerks are jerks through and through) . NFL teams, yes even the Raiders and Lions, are made up of the few college players who are lucky enough to get drafted. Even the Raiders would tear up the best college teams (average size advantage aside). The sophisticated NFL schemes are more fun than spreads or options from college that work because they already just overpower the other team (in terms of either team talent, or they have a "great" player like Reggie Bush who was heads and tails above everyone else so it's a cake-walk). Plus the NFL is where defenders shine, especially those who arn't always taken early in the draft -- as opposed to college where it seems the major talents keep shifting more and more to the offensive side of the ball.

Impossible to answer. Its a matter of preference. If you want to see the best athletes in the world play at the highest level, then watch pro ball. They make extraordinary things look easy.
BUT........If you want to watch some pretty good athletes play at the last stage of their amature career, then..........college.
Remember....College athletes, of any sport, DONT GET PAID MILLIONS. Most student athletes are playing for the passion, and intensity, of the game.
I personally enjoy watching both levels equally.

*Note - Actually GOING to a game is a little different. The atmosphere of a college game is a little more electric.

College is more exciting than pro to me. Lamawesome does not get 10 points for using the word "collegiate" but he loses 10 points for having misspelled it and another 20 point for not using the spell check.

I like college football better because the players still play the game for the love of the game. They play harder bucause they want to get noticed so they can play in the N F L.Also money is not an issue when you are in college. That dosent happen til you get in the N F L.

that really depends on what you like.
In College the games are slightly shorter. they dont have 2 minute warnings. the rules are less strict on some things like taunting. In the NFL there's alot on the line. They are diffrent but not vastly. It just kinda depends on what you like. College players have alot of passion not to say that NFL players dont but at the college level there is no money and if a player isn't great his career is basically over when he leaves school.
next season watch both and see what ya think honestly no one can make that choice for you.
At least thats what i think

Don't get me wrong, I love the NFL, but nothing beats watching college football. There's more at stake in the college game than in professional football. One loss and your chances of getting to the national championship game grow slim. Another loss and forget it.
