I have a room mate that had got a ps2 from a friend and never got the password for the DVD player and I need to rest it, How can I do that?

when it asks for a password, if you push select, instead of telling you to put in a password, it will say something about deleting a password
it still asks for a code though, and wants the factory code, 7-4-4-4
it will then ask you to create a new code. try 0-0-0-0

Just press (X) button repeatedly. When you get to the dvd feature, selct the main menu and change password change region to England.

When it asks for the password hold select and enter 7444. I work in a game store and get this question all the time.
