I know that's a generalization and isn't true across the board and maybe it's different in other countries, but it seems like a lot Asian guys find white women unattractive for some reason....If so, why?

I doubt this is true. Whiter females tend to be more prominent in the media and in pornography and Asian men, like all men, are exposed to these media. Most Asian males like white females but white females tend not to like Asian males maybe because of the stereotype that they are shorter, more boring or too conservative, not as rough or rugged, and are not as well endowed down under.

When it comes to white girls, I think alot of Asian guys don't mind dating them. The problem is all the stereotypes placed on Asian guys. After awhile I think Asian guys just don't even try anymore. Thank you mass media and society for making Asian guys hate the dating scene.

are you kidding? Asian guys love white girls, especially blondes. The women is Asian countries all look kinda similar, with dark hair, etc. So western women are viewed as amazing to them. Even Asian women are like that to a lesser extent. I see alot of Asian women who are new to this country. I would say 2/3 of them tell me I should be a movie star, cause I'm so attractive. In reality, I'm pretty normal looking. The potpourri of looks we have in the western world, especially the US, is very appealing to countries whose people look similar.

Answering your question, i think its the other way round ..... Asian guys are either too shy or not confident enough to ask white girls out because they dont think they fancy them... that's including myself.. *sigh*.
Gosh i love white girls so much and i dont think i have the guts to ask them out.... i am sure many of my chinese friends are feeling the same way

Though I wouldn't really like to paint the wider Asian male community with a wide brush, I've noticed that alot of Asian males don't really seem to find white girls attractive due to several reasons:
- They're smaller in stature and size to many Western women. Western women are large sized and the majority of Asian guys are actually a little smaller, and naturally, slimmer, than western women.
-Because of that, and added to the general male preoccupation with slim women, they wouldn't find many western women attractive because they'd find the women a tad larger than what they'd like in a woman.
-Asian men like slim women. And by slim, I mean really SLIM. A slim western woman to many of my Asian male friends are still "fat". It's lame but true.
-Alot of Asian males prefer the more 'traditional' woman - meaning more giving, more submissive (for many), more understanding, etc, etc - not in the extreme sense, but unless its for a fling, they generally would take to the stereotype of the 'loose' western woman and prefer Asian girls, which to them, are more 'safe'.
Don't forget that a large number of Asian men know as much as western people as what they see on TV, or read in the news. The Asian community is very tight-knit and it's not uncommon to see Asians living in western communities and still not have a white/black/etc friend.
-There's the issue of 'size' as well. Since they're smaller, they are biologically naturally smaller in 'size'. Then added to the famous ego of Asian males, they'd find the thought of a woman too 'large' for him intimidating.
-Many of them are the same as you are - they also do not think white girls are interested in them, even though it may not be true.
That's a few of many potential reasons.
As for the guy who says that "Asians look the same", perhaps you should travel more. I think you don't travel out of your home country enough (or at all) to know how to distinguish races of different people from different cultures.
I could say that 'all westerners look the same' but that's not true because I travel ALOT and I know the difference.
Its' a bit sad, but you really should wake up and see the amazing cultural differences between all the races because it's 2007! Wake up! You're not a British housewife who've just stepped into India and are seeing Indians for the first time - so they all look the same.
