oh my friend is the same. try brown eyeliner on the outer half of your bottom eyelid and brown/black mascara, but apply light coats. use light-colored eyeshadows as well, light pinks and light greens look really pretty :)

Sounds like what ever you're using is smudging. You might want to try a smudge proof mascara. I use Revlon gradual tint mascara and it stays put for days. Also, since you have a light hair color your might want to use a blackish-brown or just brown mascara as a true black mascara and liner would only add to the TKO look. BTW, using mascara and liner only on the top lid won't make your eyes look to dark should your make up smudge. By all means avoid using a pencil liner. liquid may be scarier (and it takes time to master) but it is well worth it.
Best of luck!

Use a brown mascara- either a brown or deep brown. You may not see the difference, but it really makes everything look softer. Also, don't put the mascara on your lower lids, only your upper lids!

like other people said, use brown instead of black. but, if you want to make your eyes pop, use a crazy color for mascara, like purple or navy. also, if you're not wearing colored mascara to intensify the color, you can try clear mascara- it's about the same as colored ones

try wearing brown mascara with blue eyeliner. the have this really nice shade at Lancome. It gives definition to yur eyes, and you really can't tell it's blue, but you know it's not black. I could try to use either black mascara or black eyeliner only, not both at the same time, if you till want to wear black.

Well.... Instead of using Jet Black and if you still want to use the color you could smudge the eyeliner. You can also switch to a brown color and use that instead of black and also use a brown mascara. I hope that helped!

Hey..I would use a white for the top lid and maybe a light green for the bottom. Switch up the colors, you'll have to trial and error..that should do the trick.
