Well it depends on who you ask.
I watched it with my girlfriend and i thought it was decent. I wouldn't watch it on my own, but I could deal with it.
Alot of guys can't stand it because it is a chick flick.
So your answer is ...
For girls, yes.
For guys, no.

One of the best romantic movies i've ever seen. I liked the movie better than the book. also if you liked The Notebook you should see Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve. It's old but good. This movie was better than the book also.

The book was much, much better of course. Read the book. It'll make you cry like a baby.
The movie was very good, but not the best movie I've ever seen. I thought the passion scene was a bit too much for most viewers. Geez! But maybe I'm thinking of the deleted scene . . .hmmmm.
The best movie I've ever seen was actually "Phantom of the Opera". Talk about addiction!

haha, it's definately not the best movie I've ever seen. It's a really bad movie. I was so disappointed after seeing that crap. And I am one who actually LIKES chick flicks. So many of my friends and aquaintances were all like "This is the best movie ever!!"...WTF? I do not see how someone could possibly like this movie. To each their own I guess.

My sister - who is 18 - LOVES the notebook. It's a bit too much sentiment for my taste.
I have so many movies I enjoy, but Shawshank redemption springs to mind as a favourite. Memoirs of a Geisha is also nice... if you are more into romance,..

it is definetly a tear jerker, I loved it and so did my boyfriend, after we saw it we bought it, came home, watched it again, and i still cried... I wouldn't say it was the best movie that I have ever seen but it is definetly in my favorite top ten. about number four.
