some good ones out now are about the relationships between parent and child but its mostly fathers and daughters make one up for me about mothers and daughters....

Well a friend of mine who is a Native American came up with a song that goes something like this,"around the bend comes a train this old Indian ain't feeling no pain, cause he's moving on he'll soon be gone, with a bottle of wine and he's feeling fine he's moving on ", however he can be a little bit depressing some times.

Pick a well known phrase such as, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" or " Good things come to those who wait". That becomes that basis of the hook in the chorus or refrain. Then for each verse, tell a story that relates to that phrase.
So many great songs are based on telling stories that we all relate to. Do your thing!
