I want to switch because my family is on cingular and if I get cingular too we can all talk for free I think.

Lets see ... first tracphones are locked so you would have to have it unlocked. Next cingular uses the GSM network so you'd have to make sure your phone used the GSM network also. Finally, you'd have to get a SIM card that was set up to access the cingular network.
Sound complicated? Sure is. I'd ditch the phone and pick up the cingular pay as you go phone as it would be much simpler to do. Wal mart may have a cheap one.

No ... you would have to get a phone from Cingular.

I don't think so. Different servers, you'll have to get an entirely new plan, i believe. but check on the tracfone website though, just to be sure. they may have changed things.

I also wondered that but it depends on the brand of phone you have. I think it has to be the same brand as your switching to.

tracfone is different service and if you wanted
to switch, it means you'll leave tracfone.
