I don't know How to ask for them back?? I don't remember exactly what day I did this, it was obvious, I was still in a state of mind, It will offend her, she has been friend for over 30 years.I am afraid this will ruin our friendship. How can I be tactful? How do I explain it to her with out offending her?? I miss the rings. I miss my Mother too. I know my friend is going to be mad. I want both, the jewelry and the friendship. What do I do??

I think that if this girl is your true friend, then you asking for your mothers rings back should not offend her. She should try to understand what you are going through at this hard time in your life, and be more than willing to return the rings. The sentimental value of them is great, and if you explain that to her, and the fact that you miss your mother, and the rings are special to you, then she should be understanding enough to hand them over. If not, then she is selfish and not a very good friend at all.

Tell the truth just like above. Perhaps she will understand, hopefully. Is it possible, since you said rings, that maybe she could have one? Afterall, 30 years of friendship should be worth a great deal.
Just sit down with your friend, explain your view on the rings and ask that they be returned. As a side note, in most states, since the rings were a gift, she's under no legal obligation to return them.

if she is a great friend she will understand... did she buy these from you? otherwise lie blame it on the family - say there was a dispute and you need the rings back. but ps you dont have to lie to true friends but why would a true friend take the rings and expect to keep them?????? she might be upset but surely if you tell her your feelings she should understand.

I know that my bestfriend would have taken the rings to hold on to for me knowing that I would want them back. She never would expect to keep them. I dont think that your friend will hold it agianst you if she does are you sure she is a real friend. I would tell her the truth, if you dont you will regret it and feel hostility towards your friend. It isnt fair that you make her feel bad because you didnt tell her the truth, she will know you are upset. Good luck

if your friend is REALLY your TRUE FRIEND, she'll understand you! but If she get mad on you after telling what's the truth, well, she's not really your TRUE FREIND, GOD is giving you a test to find out if your freind is your true friend.....................

TELL her that that ring is very important
and your mother need it! TRUST ME!
