I'm assuming that your parents would be paying for it then. However, at 13, you can still get a paper route to help pay. You could shovel snow, mow lawns (in better weather)... I used to live in the desert, and kids used to come around and rake my sand for $5 once a week. Have you tried babysitting. First, go take CPR classes and get certified. Check your county health department to find out when classes are. They're ususally free. (They also may have short-term child care classes) Then put an ad in your local paper advertising your services. Some papers have a kid's section where it's free for teens to place "work" ads. Make a reputation for yourself.

If that's not an option, I would offer to do more chores and take on more responsibilities around the house. Sit down and talk with your parents.

Figure it out like this:

Say, if the bed you want costs about $500, and minumum wage is now $7.25, you would find that you would have to work about 70 hours. Now look at the work you'd be doing around the house. You could work around the house 1 hour every day on the weekdays, and 2-4 on each weekend day. That could give you 13 hours per week. It would take you a little over 5 weeks to "pay off" the bed. You will have definately earned the bed.

Ask your parents to get you one. The worst thing they can say is no. If they do (and the probably will) then I would recommend discussing the possibly of earning an allowance for doing chores and things around the house. You could also do chores like lawn mowing and what not for neighbors. It will take awhile this way, but if your parents won't buy you one then it's the only option.

do some work around the house.. and say instead of getting money for it.. put it towards the bed.. this will show them you're really determined to get it.. hopefully it'll work!

The same way other women get things they can't afford.

Screw some guy who'll buy it for you.
