I'm looking for sites on which I can read information on colleges, which is unbiased and possibly provided by students, so that I can asses different colleges to help me decide where to go.

Your best bet would be to go to www.collegeconfidential.com and check out the discussion boards.

I would also suggest you take a look at the books published by College Confidential on each college in which you're interested. Many libraries carry these books if you don't want to buy them all.

I find usnews to be a little overrated as everyone seems to think everything relies on the usnews ranking.

studentreviews is a good one for various opinions but usually the people who report on there either love or hate their school to a strong degree. I recommend reading a guide by kaplan or princeton review online or by purchasing one of their books. Everyone has their own biases.

After you find which ones interest you, it's best to go in person and see for yourself or talk to students in your area that went to or are going to these schools
