My Dr told me to use Tylenol every 4 to 6 hours and not to skip doses because teething is very painful for children. Not just there teeth and gums hurt when they are teething, the sinuses, and ears also hurt. I would call the Dr.I used the baby oragel and tylenol and it worked. He is still going to be fussy no matter what because those things won't take all the pain away. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't started solids yet, avoid this, but if you have -- try giving him a frozen bagel. Tastes a lot better than a frozen washcloth! My son went through bagels like crazy when he was teething, and he wanted nothing to do with actual teethers. Just keep an eye on him with it, because when the bagel thaws out too much he could bite off a chunk. You can also put frozen fruit or veggies in one of those little mesh feeders. If nothing else you have done has worked, it seems you just have to tough it out. Teething sucks, but sometimes you just have to wait for it to be over!

my baby is 4 months old and going through the same thing. he hates things that are too cold so he just chews on a damp washcloth. i give him children's motrin once around 5 pm and again before he goes to bed because he seems to have a terrible time at night. not everyday because some days they seem not to bother him so much. i also bought this stuff at native sun called gum-omile. it's especially made for infants and is 100% herbal and safe. it has a few different key ingredients in it. some for pain, calming, and soothing. this is just what i've discovered over the last 2 weeks. hope it helps.

Hylan's Teething tablets are homeopathic and you can get them at Walgreens. They are all I used for my son there are no side affects and it has an herb that helps them sleep. They were my life saver for sure since my son was cutting 3 or 4 teeth at a time. Since they are homeopathic you can use them with the baby tylenol so your son will have lots of relife and if he has a fevor it will help that. Plus the teething tablets melt in the mouth so they don't have to chew which is a plus since that hurts. Good luck!

Teething kids can be absolutely miserable. I definitely feel for you. Like suggested before, the teething tablets work awesome. Also, I was kinda surprised to see that Kandy had gotten 6 thumbs down for her answer. Whiskey truly does work. I swear it does! You obviously don't give the child any, just dip your finger in it and wipte it on the gumb. No harm done, but it eases the pain significantly.

Please: DO NOT GIVE YOUR CHILD WHISKEY!!!
We use wet washcloths and orajel that work really well. My pediatrician prescribed benadryl for him because he was rubbing his gums because they itched. If nothing is helping, talk to your pediatrician, it might be something else. We thought our son was teething at 3 months, it turned out the formula was the culprit.

I hate to tell you but it is a stage that must pass-and poor baby has to live with the pain.Nothing really comforted my son either-I tried all the things you mentioned. It was lots of crying and getting up in the middle of the night to sooth him until the tooth-or teeth-popped through-then he was back to his happy self. This is a hard time on baby and parents!

Try a teething pacifier. I bought one for my son and he loved these at that age.
