Make sure that there are two cables besides the power card going to the monitor.

The (blue plugs) monitor cable, the (green plugs) audio cable, and the power cord should all be hooked up in order to get both picture and sound from your monitor.

If you are getting a buzzing sound then it is probably connected so try turning up all the volume controls that you find. Right click the speaker volume control in the bottim right corner of your screen and make sure all the levels in there are turned up, also turn up the volume on the monitor itself if there is one, check the manul for the location of it if you cant find it.

Agrees with all thee above, make sure your cables are right, match the cables. there you go. However if problems continue try

1. Plug your montior speakers into either a mp3player(ipod) or cd player or something like that see if you get sound... If so then

2. Go into your control panel
start
settings
control panel

Then go to

sound audio devices

in there look for

Advanced at the lower right next to speaker volume
then click that list and select one of the monitor stero speakers and try that.

IF that still fails, depending on your sound card in control panel there should be another thing about sound. Go into there and generally there are settings that will pick up wether you have speakers plugged in or what.

!!Also look for s/pidif-out or something like that. In there you can select your port to go OUT either as digital analog or both, i suggest putting that to both cause this could be the problem!

try updating ur sound card?

if u got extra speakers or mp3 player, discman or anything similar... i suggest u try plugging ur extra speakers to ur computer and see if it works or ur mp3 player to ur monitor speakers. thats to tell which is at fault.

if ur monitor speakers doesnt work with ur mp3 player, den its probably busted. u can send it for repairs.
if u tried plugging in another set of speakers and it still doesnt work, ur pc is at fault that can be due to software or hardware faults. Try updating drivers from the manufacturer's website. if its hardware, get a new one.

First you should check to see if the sound cable is plugged into the right port on the computer, usualy colered green.
then try and see if the sound has not been accidentaly muted and try upgrading the sound card drivers

Be sure you have it plugged into the green outlet, if you do you need to pull the plug out several times and make sure it is in as far as it will go.
