People kill for all sorts of reasons. One of the main reasons is money. Gas station attendants stand out in the open and are in danger of being shot for money, etc. Some people just go crazy, which rarely happens, but don't even know what they are doing. Animal rights activists might kill to take down a lab facility using animal testing. A bank teller is in danger of anyone who thinks that they can rob a bank. A drug dealer may shoot if they think someone may tell the police. A house burglar might kill if the person they are trying to steal from is too powerful. There are many more ways why someone might kill, but the only forgivable reason is a last-minute, life-dependent shot for self-preservation.

They hate and envy and fear so they kill. If one is afraid of a bug they kill it. They could have compassion and put it in a cup and take it outside, but they are lazy so they just take the easy rout not having compassion for the little bug, or what ever the situation. A woman has an abortion to avoid problems. She didn't think of that when she was having you know- but when it comes to the child, she just kills it. People are so unconscious that they don't even think that when they eat meat they are eating an animal who was slaughtered mercylessly, and they supported that slaughter. It is all a matter of consciousness. If one doesn't understand that all living entities have a soul and we are all brothers and sisters, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah,Vishnu, etc. Then they are less than an animal as far as their consciousness. Go to harekrishnatemple.c for understanding of the soul go to stephen-knapp. for e-book Towards World Peace, Seeing the Unity Between Us All.

Sometimes i think people don't realise what they are taking away from others when they kill. For the victim, they are taking away the persons life, all they have ever known - perhaps all what will ever be, for that person (assuming religion is a bunch of BS).
Not only that, but they leave a wealth of problems for the family of the person killed...
Why do people kill? Selfishness, greed, easy answer, blood lust... sometimes it's even a necessity. It's not nice, but that's the way it is.

For some, but for very few, it is a thrill to see another person suffer. But for most, it's an act of desperation.... the wife who just can't take another beating. The lover who has been betrayed. The person who has been scorned. And there is also the paid killer.... he/she does it for money. The reasons are multiple, but few probably involve a thrill.

Sometimes when there's a life and death situation, you desperately need to kill or you shall be killed.
It's either being the hunter, or the hunted. Take your pick.
Some kill for the fun of it, business, and money, that's psycho right there. And some kill for protection and safety for them and everyone else, like cops.
Also, when psycho people kill, they have this wave of control wash over them and they begin to beleive they can do whatever they want. It's more of dominance too.

You would have heard the Darwinian theory ; "Survival of the fittest" .This is a fact of nature, for all species of living being and other organisms on this earth. It keeps nature at a balance. Society has laws so killing is wrong and is punishable. Why people kill to be punished themselves by death is nature keeping in balance. Whether the act is wrong or right, scripture tells us and society tells us by its laws

We are not that far separated from the Wild Kingdom. Monkeys also plan killings for both food and pleasure.
