Well, 20 years is not a long time but though we'll all be a little older I think the majority of us will also be a little wiser. We are now in the age of information. It is easier now than it ever was, to learn about a vast array of subjects through the touch of a finger. But on the other hand, some aspects may worsen, and we'll all have to be on super alert that these things do not get out of hand. In many ways, we are doing a great job of ruining our planet in the name or greed and progress. It'll always be a battle to better ourselves and our environment. But such is the earth we have inherited and if we want to keep our earthly paradise, we must never stop improving, maintaining and working hard at doing the best we can! I see us gaining in awareness and knowledge. I truly don't see people getting dumber. I see much evidence that we all want to improve ourselves and our lives! And this improved access to information should help more of us in positive ways. I am giving the human race credit for its' inherent intelligence. I don't think we want to destroy ourselves. I think better ecological practices will be put into place, as evidenced that this process has already begun. We have a long way to go, but there's a lot of smart people out there, and I think the good will win sway over the bad or ill-intentioned of this world.

Soon, there will be one screen in ones house. No longer the multiple screens as in today’s world; the T.V., the PC, the spare T.V. This one screen that will replace them can appear anywhere in the house via some kind of thought controlled holographic display.
Imagine a house that looks after the occupants via a field of gravitationally inert matter in the form of minute particles, which can be impregnated with other forms of matter, such as oxygen, antibiotics, immunizations etc. It can also monitor information about the health of the occupants such as blood pressure, viral/bacterial infections, body temperature etc.
The bodysuit is the machine. The bodysuit can protect the owner from airborne, ingestible or intravenable bacteria or virus. The bodysuits are grouped in a different range varying in maximum power outputs. Certain members of the community will be given a choice to become more physically powerful members of the community or not to. Those that do will eventually become the true International Police backed up by a court of the United Nations.

Well, since global warming is such a problem, I see hardly and northern ice cap and no polar bears. I see hurricanes, droughts, disaster. Global warming is ruining the world, and so is our government with the war and all. So, as long as there are no major disasters (asteroids, supervolcano exploding in Yellowstone..) I see a depleting Earth. Outlook is quite dismal, unless we can all stop global warming.

20 years ... not too distant.

we will definitely be making fun of the iPhone about how we cant believe that people were amazed by such a product that is so not advanced compared to the new 2027 stuff.

there will still be wars, religion, racism, bad parents, poverty, greed, pollution, murder

ife will be more fasted paced. more on-the-go.
everyone will be workaholics
there will be even crazier fad diets
more extreme plastic surgery

the music will be an even combination of techno, funk, rock, and hip-hop, perfectly blended.

aids will hopefully be cured.

Many animal species will have gone extinct, because of pollution and global warming.

Many natural disasters will have caused devastation in many parts of the world.

Cashless societies, unfortunately.

The U.S. (and several other countries) will have enforced National ID cards (and perhaps implant chips) to track your every move.
