Brother, here is the hard lesson... EXPECT NOTHING FROM WOMEN. A man will give EVERYTHING for a woman, up to and including his life. Women ALWAYS hold something back. A little money you didnt know about... a guy on the side... whatever. This is only natural because of the historic roles of men and women.... If she orders the most expensive thing on the menu it could be because of multiple reasons, but I would not expect her to be an honorable woman. IF she asked if it would be okay FIRST... then at least she has your interests at heart. Dont listen to the idiot who said "if you can't afford it go elsewhere"... she is just another one of those types of women. MILLIONS OF WOMEN THINK that simply because men are more desirous of sex than they are that this entitles them to take whatever they can from a man. In this day and age, if she doesnt offer to pay on 1 out of 4 dates .... DUMP HER... and by the way the only type of woman that you CAN expect sex from for money (or the equivalent) is a prostitute so give that notion up IMMEDIATELY... There are MILLIONS of women that are honorable and decent. Don't give them any more ammo by being the dumb guy that expects sex for dinner...

Dear Blackey
NOTHING entitles you to physical contact unless she says it is welcome contact -- ever. If you are not able to afford the most expensive thing on the menu, then do not take a woman to that restaurant. (many places now post their menu on their website, or their cost profile is available in restaurant guides for your region) And if she requests a restaurant that she knows is at the edge of your budget, then orders the most expensive thing, don't take her out again -- she does not respect you.

Isn't it interesting how these answers fall along gender lines - with the men saying "yes" and the women saying "no". The unfortunate truth is that men, even the ones who are teasing, really do tend to have the attitude of "if I pay for a meal or a movie, I should get compensation".

if you want to buy sex, go down to the street corner and pay for a hooker.

but don't come into a relationship with the thought that if you spend X amount of money you get sex. Relationships should not be about dollar signs and sex. They should be about making a genuine connection with another person.

Nope sorry. Don't take a girl out if you want something in return other than her time. Oh and if you can't afford the restaurant of choice, just don't ask her out. Sorry but just because you pay for anything, fries from McDonald's or Lobster and steak. It does not entitle you to anything automatically. Nice try though!

well on those terms.. forget the whole thing pal.. you're on a one way ticket to the blues.

never EVER do something nice for someone and EXPECT something in return..

do it.. because YOU want to.

not because you WANT something.

it'll insult her.. it'll make you mad about the situation that'll occur... and she'll not trust you... it's going to feel like betrayal all the way around.

so drop it... just experience the moment...

patience my friend... there's a reason why many say... good things come to those who wait..

No. Just because the girl doesn't order off the value menu at McDonalds doesn't mean she owes you any favors!

It means you shouldn't marry her. She's a Kanye West song.
the exception is if you took her to McDonalds, then she is entitled to slap you.

You are never entitled to intercourse. It has to be mutually desired.
