Criticize all you want...but WHAT will YOU do if elected a President to deal with terrorism?

Terrorism is the only tool those without power have to use against those with power. Therefore, if I was president I would stop using my power upon others so that they would not feel the need to retaliate. Terrorism, unlike what you are led to believe, is not an evil force that appears from nowhere, it is something that is created by US...the people who invade, occupy and intefere with these peoples lives in ways we as the fortunate few cannot ever fully comprehend. 9/11 was not the start of it, nor was the bombings of embassies before that. We started it all off and we allow its continued ploriferation. 9/11 was merely the first time they made a direct attack - a dramatic and appauling one at that - on U.S soil and the shock gave justification to the actions made after that - actions claimed to be in our defense. And it is that that has been proven to have increased our threat from terrorism - by increasing the numbers recruited and the attacks made each day.

I would also stop blatantly lying to the majority of blind US citsens and would start free, open and honest dialogue as a true and free democracy demands.

The first thing I would not assume anything and certainly not act upon vendettas for my Daddy and friends. That would be a fatal blow to my country. And then we would lose the faith of the people right? But all and all, I would definately have Congress stay in office and make them do their jobs, and no elect me as a dictator, it takes a team to be American not a solo routine. We as a team would legislate laws, not the Patriot Act, but laws that benefit our people only. The ones that pay my salary. And are born here. I would order the deportation of everyone with a visa, until we cleaned up our own governing powers of immigration, and yes we would suffer the consequences by friends and neighbors but that is a sure way to be secure. Then we could weed out the people here in support of these alien forces. Then I would bring them to trial, and if found guilty imprison them. Public officials the same way. Everything I did would be for American Policy first and foreign Policy last. They would have to deal with us. I would put an embargo on to all opposing threats to any country that could profit from our demise in these terrorist threats and acts. Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, etc.,
Who ever and then politically discuss all relevencies to the terrorists. And see what the UN says, anyone there that is opposed to the US and shows aggression will also have no rights here and if necessary if there is a unanymous vote against us walk out, China did it many times. No more parlay agreements or appeasements, until they come across with their true intentions. All terrorists would be locked up and no communication with outsiders. No torture just silence. Let them wonder and worry like we do about their so called beloved lands? If they love them so much stay there and build toilets? Stop imposing their crap on us and taking our money to buy weapons and kill, they don't build they destroy. So if the event should take it into war then we will take them to war but then they would be nothing but ashes, and glowing. My people in America are as important to me as anyone elses, and I as the president would not react any differently than Washington, Jefferson, to hell with them all but our people. Withdraw all assistance to all the other countries financially and otherwise. Then wait. You must be willing to take up a sword in the field of battle and die if you want to be a leader of such a big land, if not you are a woos and should not be in office. Your family and your friends are no more important then the next American in War. But at least you have a chance at freedom.

ok, i am going to take a shot at it. i'd concentration on our intelligence communities. i'd revamp the finished intelligence community, piece by using piece if I had to, to substantiate they cooperate with one yet another. 1. Give Iraq a deadline, 6 months and basically say "We are leaving. You better learn to defend your OWN country because we cannot stay forever." Help train them, but leave after 6 months.

2. Make my priority finding Osama Bin laden and members of Al-Qaida. Refuse to give countries in the region like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia ANY support unless they share ALL information they know AND allow our troops to search in any areas we have good reason to believe they may be operating in.

3. Implement ALL recommendations of the 9-11 commission.

4. Make a REAL attempt to work with the U.N. and other countries in the world to denounce terrorism, pass resolutions, share intelligence and regain allies.

I am so sick of you ignorant people who are believing the media. People like you are going to get us ALL killed. This is not an unnecessary war. Maybe you need to brush up on your World History and also learn about the people that we are fighting. I don't mean watching CNN to "learn". Open an encyclopedia and try reading those big words in there to see if you can teach yourself something. Maybe then you may see that there are reasons for this war, and that President Bush may be doing something good for this country. Stop acting like little kids who copy their little friends and act like they know what they're talking about. This war is not the Boogeyman. You can't just cover your eyes and make it go away. They're not playing games, they want to kill us. Learn about their religion and you'll see what I'm talking about. Look up "Jihad". Learn as much as you can about it.

Quite honestly, terrorism is no longer the issue, but an unnecessary war in Iraq. Also, we can't do anything about terrorism. Seriously, before you ask questions like this, what exactly is a terrorist? What do terrorists look like? We don't know this and thus nothing can be done about terrorism.

If I was President, I would tell you what I would not do. I would not make up stories and excuses about other countries so I could invade them. I would not use terrorism as an excuse to dismantle the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I'd stop ACTING like a terrorist. I wouldn't send men armed with weapons into people's homes to tear up the joint. I'd stop acting like a cowboy, stop making comments which, in essence, DARE them to attack us. I certainly wouldn't invade a sovereign country then try to occupy it. If that was a sound method to use, then we'd all still be British.
