i got a new ipod and i have put itunes on my computer but when i try to go to update ipod in the file tab it isnt black writting its grey and im unable to click it please help me!!

when you download music from itunes it should automatically go to your library on itunes, once you have downloaded exit out of itunes, make sure your ipod is plugged in and click on itunes again, it should say updating ipod and load them to it...

NO, do NOT contact apple.com because they aren't of much help. I had a problem with my ipod yesterday (and my ipod is old) but I fixed it with the help of other sites. the apple.com site was of NO help at all.
Well, if you got a new ipod.. why do u have to update it? It should be the latest version already isn't it? You can try googling it. There are lots of sites to help you with fixing an ipod.
