Put carpeting on the floor and stuff on the walls.

You have an echo because sound waves are bouncing straight from their source to you, and directly off a smooth surface to you. The sound waves coming to you get there first, and the ones bouncing off things get there slightly later.

When you have a rough surface on the floor/walls, such as carpet, the sound waves don't bounce "cleanly" off those surfaces. Instead, the material absorbs some of the sound, and the rest of the sound bounces in hundreds of directions, but only a fraction of it hits your ears. Therefore, you hear no echo echo echo echo....

well there are a couple things you can do, but they will make your room look shabby and dark. You can tape egg cartons on the wall and they will drown out all the echo. You can also paste carpet pieces on the wall. good luck

Tie it down.

Just kidding - the more plush items you put in a room - furniture, carpet, drapes, the less echo you will get.

maximum something that's comfortable will help. Rugs, tapestries, curtains, and paintings, all like they have reported. you would be able to desire to even stick in some potted flora to decrease down on the priority.

in addition to carpet - put a tapestry on one wall
also could make one wall a textured wall, briks or suck, with many angles for sound to bounce off and diffuse
