You may not be mixed recently but I believe you may have had some distant mixture.

Well I hate to be the devils advocate but lets see here. If your truly
Black,do you have the Black African big lips, nappy hair, big nose?
How about if you get pulled over by the police? How do you get treated? When you apply for a job do they tell you that they will call you if they need you? To me 100 percent Black are as close
to African as possible. If folks think you look White then you must have mostly White features. In the old days in sorority homes they did the brown paper bag test, if you were lighter than the bag then you were in,if you were darker then you didn't make it.
To me 100% Black are the original Africans, the rest of us are mixed, even me though I'm more Black than anything else.

I know...my friend and my sisters go through the same thing...my friend has very big features like the stereotypical black person...so people try to take a guess saying she must be mixed some how...
my sisters...people think one is half white and the other is fully Indian ...
just ignore them...people are just too set on race
...they want to know how they should define you
and then there are the people who like to brag about their long haired GGrandmother and say oh I have this and me and that and make a long list...

Eventho' its 2007, too many human beings (truly, sorry, white human beings) do not want to believe that black is suitable. The extra appealing you're, and the lighter your skin, the added they want to believe they'd something to do consisting of your elegance. I worked with a lady many years again and we were observing television jointly, Brandy got here on and she or he stated "She should be mixed, she's too fantastically to be all black". nicely first, I didnt imagine Brandy replaced into all that mild skinned regardless of if she is a dismal elegance. i replaced into so satisfied at the same time as many years in the past go away out Universe replaced right into a dismal skinned West Indian (i imagine her call replaced into Wendy Mc--something) yet she replaced into black because the ace of spades and attractive as any morning daybreak. Her elegance replaced into easily breathtaking!

I am light skinned with naturally hazel eyes. I am not mixed. I come from two black parents. People assume that I am mixed not because of my skin but my hair texture. I have naturally loose curls or wavy hair. I really do not think that it is all that important.

U.S. Americans have a really big problem with labels. If a person is unable to file you into a particular box, they become uncomfortable. The majority of African Americans in this country are of mixed blood, but, people look for features which will lump you into the "black" box. Don't worry about their insecurities, just "do you."

IT is hard for some to accept the person in front of them. I am white and so many can't accept that I am African and from a whole different Continent.

I am mixed with black and white and I look like a Mexican. My oldest son has gray eyes. Who cares what people think. All that is important is you emailing me so we can make pretty light skinned babies.
*Additional* Oh, I get a thumbsdown because I like light skin girls. I am so sorry for being a man, I will just go whip myself now. Hey, Hazel Eyes! Would you like to join me?

Self-tanner. No, kidding. People just apparently think you aren't totally black because of your light skin... show them your driver's license.

I'm darker than you and I'm not 100% black, If they don't believe you that's their problem, you don't have to prove how much you are black to them.
