I think this is such a lie how people will say i didn't know until i was 5-6-7 months, i mean my god you feel the fetus moving around kicking and going on so why do people "claim" that they did not know?
Just wondering

I agree with you. I just don't get it. I have never been pregnant so I don't know how it would feel but, I'm sure you would have to know!

Yes. Honestly I do believe this. My best friend was in her 20s and still living at home with her parents. One night she was taken to the hospital by her dad who thought her appendics might be rupturing. It turned out she was in labor. She had gone through a full pregnancy without knowing. She lived at home. She continued to have a light period the entire pregnancy. She is not a heavy girl. She is not skinny but not obese. She did gain weight but she contributed that to the fact that she had just ended a long term relationship (the baby's dad). For awhile I thought maybe she had been in denial because the relationship had ended and because she was living at home, etc. But the more I talked to her and her parents the more I realized it was quite possible she had no clue.

Fast forward a few years. She is now married and her and her husband are TRYING to have a baby. She makes a doctor's appointment thinking she might be pregnant. She is hoping. Imagine her surprise when they discover that not only is she pregnant but she is more than 5 months along.

All women are different. Our bodies are different. Just because you feel the fetus moving around and kicking doesn't mean everyone does. I'm on my third pregnancy. This baby is so very active. He is moving all over the place. My first one didn't move this much. I didn't feel him the way I feel this one. All the pregnancies have been very different for me. So, I'm not going to sit and assume that every woman has the same experience.

Some women have very irregular periods and wouldn't be able to judge by their cycle alone. Some women carry differently than others. The doctor told my friend that she didn't appear pregnant because of the shape of her torso. While she does gain weight it does not look like pregnancy weight. Some women do not have morning sickness. Some women do not feel the fetus all that much. So, why isn't is possible to not know. With my third pregnancy I didn't show until I was about 22 weeks. That is a long time. I didn't even really feel pregnant until the third trimester. Now I'm huge and obviously pregnant. I'm sore and tired, etc. But I went the majority of this pregnancy not really feeling pregnant.

So, yes I believe it is possible.

A friend of the family didn't know she was pregnant until she was 7 months. She was still having her period every month. After her second baby they told her she was unable to have anymore kids, so she wasn't even thinking that could be a possibility. She was having some major bleeding one night, so she went to the ER and they told her she was pregnant. She was extremely shocked, and said she never felt (and still didn't look) pregnant. She was at least 100 lbs overweight before she got pregnant though. So it is possible, just rare.

Actually during the first pregnancy, some people don't feel the baby kick until they are 5-6 months pregnant. They may also never have morning sickness. They may mistake some other pregnancy symptoms for something else. There are also women who don;t have regular periods. Then there is also the occasional woman who has what seems like a period throughout their pregnancy. Anything is possible.

Ok this is a true story. My girl friend was on depo vera (the birth control shot) while she got pregnant. She didn't find out until she was 6 months along. Most women don't get their periods while on this form of birth control. She thought she was gaining weight but was a little heavy to start out, she went to a doctor he poked around for a min.... checked for heart beat and she was definately pregnant. It happens more often then one would think!

On the other hand I think 50% of women that say that are full of BS LOL

you dont actually feel the baby kicking till about 6 or 7 months if that... it felt like butterflies in my stomach to me, untill i started actually seeing her feet glide across my belly. but some people have their periods all the way through there pregnancy so they may not know. it is possible. i didnt start showing till 5 months. so people dont show much at all. I also watched a medical show where this girl was complaining of really bad cramps and thought she was dying, turned out she was in labor!

My cousin said she didn't know until her 7th or 8th month. I believe her for several reasons:

- She spotted throughout her pregnancy, so she thought she was still getting her period.
- She was already a large girl, so it wasn't like her belly just suddenly "popped out."
- The movements and kicking she thought was gas, or something she ate. Early on, most first time mommies don't recognize their baby's movements because they don't know what to look for. In her case, she wasn't expecting to be expecting, so pregnancy was furthest from her mind. (After I had my baby, I felt some gas bubbles that felt very similar to my baby's movements too.)

first time i would say it was possible as the baby movement isn't knowen by the mother yet, over weight peoplee may not notice and some peopl just think they are putting on weight, also i have a Friend who didn't have a period for 12 months and she was on n form of birth control and wasn't pregnant so i guess its possible

My sister-in-law didn't know until she was 7 months along. She was way overweight, told she could never have kids, didn't have a regular period and the fetus was lazy.
