Alright my friend to start you can tell just lives the perfect life family is constantly telling her they love her, and everything else; When I first saw her before she knew me she was the very happy, bright, popular girl; then when she meet me she started being exactly like me style wise to. I haven't lived the best life but I try to make the most of it and go on. She asked about my life and I told her, then like after i'm done she says a story just like mine except makes it more "dramatic" and uses different names. Also, like she says like I took her to ozzfest, warped tour, and all that when I didn't. I went but I didn't take her, and like her she has this "boyfriend" that no one has ever heard of or seen. Finally, she is suposedly in a "band" but no one has ever heard them or seen them at all (and i've asked around) even asked the band they were suposdly playing with). Is it just me or does it seem like she is trying to hard, and lying?

Also, she just stated to me on the phone "I don't lie, I just fail to tell the truth."

It sounds like your friend's "perfect" life isn't as perfect as it seems. If you truly are her friend, you will not get any angrier at her, sit her down, and have a chat. It sounds like she may have a self-esteem issue and feels that she cannot be successful just being herself. I know it may irritate you, but as a friend, try to help her "see the light" before the light sets on her and she embarasses herself in public and can't get out of it.

her life probably aint that great either. she obviously admires a lot about you and is trying to better herself by becoming like you. the band thing is a lie adn shes just doing that so ppl can like her. if you were a true friend, try and tell her to stop doing what u are doing and be herself. school is hard if u dont have friends, so all she wants is friends whether or not they like her for who she is or if they dont.

Your friends life isn't perfect apparently. She wants to be just like everyone else and specifically you. Tell her that you know she's lying and talk to her about it. She doesn't need to lie for you to like her or be friends with her. She just needs that reasurance.
