They probably left it on the step. I used to work shipping and we had several packages stolen from customers doorsteps. Also, someone else at your home may have picked it up. Ask around or check to see if it is at the PO

Call the post office that would have delivered it. Give them the delivery confirmation number. Ask for the date, time and carrier who scanned it as delivered. They can determine which carrier scanned it as delivered by the scanner ID code-- something you cannot see.
Ask to speak the carrier directly as to where the item was left. Was it left in the box, on the box, on the porch? Get the name of the customer representative that you initially speak to as you may need to follow up.

Ask for a copy of the signature or where the package was left. This information should also be on the confirmation.

yeah, they had delivered it to the wrong house so i had to call the company that i had ordered it from and they credited my card, but if something that wasnt baught from a store i think you should be able to track the package call USPS and have them do a track search to see where it ended up, im sure if you had a confirmation # then you should be able to track it

Check with the PO to see if someone had to sign for the item. Check the signature, name, etc. Good luck.
