I just want to delete my tv shows and movies that I have bought off of the iTunes store off of my computer (I have an iBook G4 if it is helpful), but I want to keep them on my iPod. I feel like it is a waste of space to have the exact same things in two different locations. Is there a way to delete items off my iTunes, but not have them be taken off my iPod when I plug them in?

If you delete the stuff from your iTunes, there is NO WAY to NOT delete them from your iPod...the iPod SYNCHRONIZES with your iTunes - Deleting what's been deleted, adding what's been added.

No I'm pretty sure that there isn't any way to delete the show of your iBook yet keep it on your iPod because iPods' sync what is in iTunes to your iPod. If the show isnt in iTunes it probably wont go onto your iPod.

Yes there is -- when you have your iPod connected, click on iPod under Devices. (if you have the newer iTunes version) There should be an option to manually update your iPod. Once the files are safely on your iPod, you can delete them from your library. I'd test it with a insignificant file first, just to be sure. Also, be careful! I did this same thing and then lost all my content when my iPod was stolen. Good luck! Please e-mail me for any more questions.

All you do is uncheck it. once you're syncing your ipod opt for the button off the abode show that proclaims "sync checked songs" This makes it so as which you will purely sync the songs/ movies which you relatively choose on your ipod! wish this helps
