My friend he's 30, and he's my boyfriend, we've been dating for about 4 months. I live in pennsylvainia and I believe the law is anyone under the age of 15 it would be statatory rape, but the problem is, I have a friend whos friend is also 16 and she got pissed off at her boyfriend so she told him she was ******* around with the one guy which was my friend, he got jealous and told his friends who told her mother, who told the cops, this is the second night in jail, I just found out today when I got no call from him yesterday because he always calls me I knew something was wrong. His bond is 50,000 dollars straight up, If she is 16 then could he get in alot of trouble? I'm 16, and I'm his girlfriend, and I know it's not true that they were messing around because whenever he's not working he's with me, when he gets his schedule he tells me so I know he's not lying. What should I do? will he get in trouble? No one knew where eh was untill I was able to contact someone who heard about it.

It doesn't sound right that they would arrest him without any evidence that he had sex with her.

This is very difficult to follow - but here's the basic law. If a man over 18 has sex with a girl under 18, in most states that is statutory rape, and he will be prosecuted. In many cases he will get off with probation, but in some states it will mean jail time. And in most states, he will also have to register as a sex offender.

If a 30 year old has sex with someone under 18, it will be considered a serious case of statutory rape, and he WILL get jail time. There is something very wrong with a 30 year old that would behave this way, even though the girl is willing. In law, a 16 CANNOT consent to sex, any more than they can sign a contract or leave home.

Sounds like the police are already helping you. A 30 year old should not be dating a 16 year old.

Of course you won't listen to me or the other people answering this. So, I'll just stop typing now.

sounds like here-say to me.he should ask for a court appointed attorney.but men are men and their must be enough evidence to be able to hold him and set the bond so high.it should clear itself up within one or two more days if he asks for a lawyer and if you come forward to be on his side and get your friend to tell the truth about the lie that has led up to this.

HE NEEDS TO GET IN TROUBLE ANY GROWN MAN MESSING WITH A 15 OR 16 YEAR OLD GIRL NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL AND STAY THERE. A 30 YEAR OLD MAN SHOULD BE MORE RESPONSIBLE, AND A 15 OR 16 YEAR OLD GIRL NEEDS TO WISE UP, OR THEY WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. NO 30 YEAR OLD HAS ANYTHING IN COMMON WITH A 15 YEAR OLD. WE ARE TALKING ADULT AND CHILD. HE SHOULD ROT IN JAIL.

Well, as long as the girl clears it up there shouldn't be a pro.

Both you and this other girl have to say to the cops that you both NEVER had sex with him.
