You might think rock is better, but don't tell me sh!t about rap being crap. Im talking about the real rappers of the 80s and 90s, which was when rap was all about expressing yourself, like rock. I probably prefer my Tupac and Run DMC to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, butthat's just my opinion. Once again if you think rock is better, fine. But do not say sh!t about classic rap being gabrage because if you do you are wrong.

Classic rock. I was never a fan of rap. While what the old school rappers did was original, it just wasn't for me. There was no melody, no guitars, no real singing. It was just rhyming words to a drum beat. I need MUSIC. But I'm not saying who's right or wrong because there is no right or wrong. It's just an opinion.

I haven't listened to much classic rap before, but what I have heard isn't all about nailing girls, getting money, and running with drugs. It actually MEANS something. Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin are more my thing, though.

I like Classic Rock better. Guitar solos and melodies.
Even Classic Rap was short on melody. The best Classic Rap I liked was the Beastie Boys.

Agreed, rap used to have more meaning than it does now about doing drugs and women and the cars you drive. The people who were talking about their lives, their struggles are in some respects better than classic rock bands.
