Ambiemous,
You may be just 12 but your opinion of beauty is far beyond what many elder people out there have.
I really agree with you on your perception of true beauty and I think you must have a very genuine personality to have such a fantastic outlook. If you continue in life with such perceptions, you're on your way to a very fulfilling and meaningful lifetime =)
It really is about self-confidence and a good soul, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder..even women such as the infamous Angelina Jolie are not percieved as beautiful by all, some people think she is ugly.. looks can never ever please everyone (not that I am saying I think Jolie is ugly, I think she's very beautiful both inside and out).
Someone who has the traits of a model begins to look ugly when their personality is dull and shallow wheras someone who might be considered plain by some is ultra gorgeous when she/he exudes warmth, kindness and personality.
Love your question, I am sure it will enlighten many.

You have a great outlook on things kid.
as the sayign goes "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"
everyone has a different definition on what is beauty. something that is beautiful to me may not be beautiful to you or someone else. Generally beauty is something lightens up your world, sort to speak... if has to generate some sort of emotion within you when you see or behold it. to behold something that is truly beautiful it would make you stop dead in your tracks, leave you awestruck, or take your breath away.
Making others happy... that is an example of beauty.
a person can be beautiful on the outside and/or inside. To think that beauty is only on the outside of a person, that is considered shallow, and it just isn't true. Someone could be drop dead gorgeous on the outside but have a terrible personality on the inside and that would simply make her seem ugly to me. Its always better to look for whats on the inside of a person, for then you can find out who they truely are.
Anyoe that tells you beauty is only about a "good face" they are sad and you should feel sorry for them.
Hope you keep the open and positive outlook on things all your life.

They say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".......
I feel that outer beauty is somewhat a reflection of inner beauty.
There are so many different views on beauty depending what angle you take, but I think inner beauty is more important. Physical beauty fades over time as one ages, whereas inner beauty is still there and possibly to an ever greater extent.
Too many people focus on perfect figures and get caught up in anorexia etc.

Girls who are seen as the hot, popular girls aren't always dumb, but yeah that is kinda the trend. Inner beauty is nice, a girl needs to be smart and have a good personality, but at the end of the day how cute/hot/pretty/etc. deffinatley means more to people--even if they say differently. It's human nature to go for the hot girl, just as the girl would perfers a guy who's attractive.

I think your perception of beauty for being 12 is marvelous. If only everyone could be taught at a young age to think like that. Beauty is on the inside and actions of a person.

I think that beauty comes from within. That may sound crazy, but if a person has a horrible attitude then to me they are ugly. I look way beyond the outside. real beauty is in side.

yeah well you haven't learned much in your short 12 years then. Society decides beauty, and the beautiful people get lots of advantages from things as small as more people who are willing to help them to larger things like tons of cash. Having a good personality doesn't get you much.

When I look at a women I look at her presence. How does she stand. Is she aware of her surroundings. Can she hold an intelligent conversation. Is she compationate, even tempered.
So many women spend so much time and money on makeup and clothes. If they would only spend 1/10th of the time improving their personalities.
The most beautiful woman I know doesn't even know it.

I agree with you. Beauty is evident from the inside out. True beauty begins in ones heart and radiates to the outside.

well either a really good, kind, confident person, also with a great personality!
or someone with jessica Simpson's skin, great eyes and long brown wavy hair that is smooth and gorgeus!
anyways i would go with a good spirit but some people are crazy and think looks are the only thing that matters!
