There are lots of way.
Introduce yourself!
Talk about what they like then things you like as well.
Dont go on and on either...no one likes that.
Most of all be yourself!

Go out and talk with people. Be approachable. Smile;Chit chat; The weather; Find something in common either in what you are doing at the time you are talking with them, or a funny ancedote.

Talk to people. I've made alot of friends at school talking about metal bands. This person I met this year at school went to this Godsmack concert I also went to. We started talking, hanging out, now he's my best friend. I'm also dating his ex gf right now.
Just talk to people about stuff, I'd suggest Music, Wii, current movies, etc.

Just meet people, scary for me, i know, but just introduce yourself. i had to figure that out. But now I have good friends.

Start converstations with ppl,theres ppl all around you @ work and all kinds of places.

ask questions about themselves,people like to talk about themselves and they like it when u put some interest in them
