Well a great place to get GREAT movies is amazon, although you can get a good selection on netflix,too.I would recommend anything by Hayao Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli the art is breathtaking, the plots are complex and yet simple and they have their moments. I might recommend Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind. Sometimes blockbuster MIGHT have them available online. I would say that amazon or even Borders would be your best to buy otherwise netflix.

The Death Note live action came out recently in Japan. Most new anime movies are based on series, though.

Try Nausicaa (by Studio Ghibli) or HAGAREN THE MOVIE. The latter requires a bit of fandom knowledge.
